| |August 20205VOL 3 · ISSUE 7 - 1 · AUGUST - 2020Now, when we look at it, isn't it mesmerizing the way IoT has made inroads into Industrial applicability? From having remained as just a futuristic concept for so long to transforming the way industries look at connectivity and automation. The global Industrial IoT (IIoT) Market today is expected to hit $118413.63 million by 2025. It's possible that the pandemic has a slightly different say in this. Despite that, something that can be read in alignment with this statistic is a recent KPMG report that says smart cities account for as much as 23 percent of the IoT-based projects across the world. The industrial digitization (17 percent), connected buildings (12 percent), and connected cars (11 percent) are also amongst the segments to harness the tremendous potential of IIoT. Indian organizations paint an aesthetic picture, holding a fair share of this prospect within the country and even beyond. It's in fact amazing to discern that the subcontinent, this time, is not holding back. Come technology, there sure used to be a time when our country just laced boots while the world started sprinting. The times have changed. The union government is looking forward to pouncing on this novel opportunity of IIoT and transforming the public infrastructure through everything from the promising Smart City Mission, smart manufacturing, intelligent warehousing, realtime track & data collection, and whatnot. If you recall the proposal of the Finance Minister in Feb-Budget to develop five new smart cities in collaboration with States in public-private-partnership (PPP) mode, it's a wakeup call for Indian startups. Of course, challenges and competition from the global provider is a part of the package. But this time, we, as a country and as a developing industrial ecosystem, are up for it.The list of top 10 industrial IoT solutions providers incorporated in this edition divulges a few of such anecdotes - winning challenges and creating a pivot for the future of IoT in India.Let's get going.Sujith Vasudevan Assistant EditorIt's Time India Pounce on Industry 4.0Office Editorial queries editor@cioinsiderindia.comAdvertising Queriessales@cioinsiderindia.comBangaloreTel 080 46441103 To subscribeVisit www.cioinsiderindia.com/subscribe/ or send email to: subscription@cioinsiderindia.comCover price is Rs 150 per issueAshok KumarSales & MarketingGarima AnandGroup Art DirectorMagendran PerumalCirculation ManagerEditorial TeamShiwani PrakashSaroop KPVaishnavi PradeepRajan Sarma Lakshmi GCIOInsiderNo. 124, 2nd Floor, Surya Chambers, Old Airport Road, Murugheshpalya, Bangalore-560017ManjunathS.SivasankarVisualizerPublisher & EditorAssistant EditorAlok ChaturvediSujith VasudevanPrinted and published by Alok Chaturvedi on Behalf of SiliconMedia Technologies Pvt Ltd and Printed at Precision Fototype Services at Sri Sabari Shopping Complex, 24 Residency Road Bangalore-560025 and Published at No. 124, 2nd Floor, Surya Chambers, Old Airport Road, Murugeshpalya, Bangalore-560017.Copyright © 2020 SiliconMedia Technologies Pvt Ltd, All rights reserved.
