
Amazon Plans for $15 Billion Expansion of Warehouses

According to reports, Amazon is planning a $15 billion expansion of warehouses with approximately 80 new logistics centers in urban and rural locations across the US.
The report indicates that the company is inviting potential capital partners to present proposals, noting that the facilities are anticipated to primarily serve as delivery hubs, though a few will also contain large fulfillment centers filled with robots.
Amazon stated that the projects are still being discussed and have not yet been finalized.
According to Amazon spokesperson Steve Kelly, gatherings like this with our capital partners are standard practice and a component of the usual due diligence procedure as we evaluate possible future projects.
Independently, the e-commerce firm has annulled orders for various items sourced from China and other Asian nations, as stated in reports.
The report indicated that orders for beach chairs, scooters, and other products from various vendors were stopped following the extensive US tariff announcements on April 2.
It noted that the unexpected timing of the cancellations caused vendors to suspect they were a reaction to the tariffs.
Recently, China and the European Union unveiled additional trade restrictions on American products as a reaction to hefty tariffs enforced by U.S. President Donald Trump that intensifying a worldwide trade conflict that has impacted markets and increased the chances of recession.
