
Amazon Unveils the Shopping Cart That Knows What You're Buying


Smart shopping cart the new solution by Amazon to buyers.
Amazon on Tuesday revealed the cart that uses cameras, sensors and a scale to detect automatically what shoppers are doing. This cart keeps a tally and later charges their Amazon account when buyers leave the store.
This latest development by Amazon is shaking the supermarket industry and offering a solution to
long checkout buyers. The online shopping megamart started a cashier-less supermarket in Seattle which uses cameras and sensors in the ceiling to track whatshoppers are holding onto and later charge them. Now, Amazon has an average of 25 cashier less convenience stores with same technology.
This cart is known as Amazon Dash Cart, which is about to show at a new Los Angeles supermarket that Amazon later half of this year. This store will be having cashier but Amazon told that it wanted to provide customers with bypassing facilities from long queues. Later, this could be used at Amazon’s Whole Foods grocery chain or other stores when Amazon sells technology.
A lot of startups have started making likewise smart shopping carts which are now tested in stores. Though those require scanning groceries before taking.
In Amazon cart, there is no scanning. There’s a screen near the handle that lists all the charges. This cart can find when anything is taken out and gets removed from the bill. The cart also recognizes when anyone throws a jacket or purse in the cart when buyers don’t like to carry it with them.
