AMD India Partners with IISc Bengaluru to Develop AI & HPC Research
According to reports, California-based semiconductor company Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) India and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, have set up a joint initiative to advance High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI research in the country.
AMD will work closely with a group of teachers and analysts from IISc to consider heterogeneous computing counting the zones of center plan, AI preparing, deduction, and compilation. The investigative mental property (IP) will be together claimed by the parties.
AMD will also support understudies seeking inquiries about regions like low-power plans, Machine Learning (ML)-based plan advancements, pruning, and quantization for ML models.
According to AMD, In expansion, AMD has given a cluster of HPC hubs with EPYC Processors, MI Intuitive GPUs and Alveo V70 quickening agents to IISc. HPC & AI are on a very basic level rethinking the world of innovation and AMD is in the middle with our portfolio of computing items.
"The investigative association with IISc, in these ranges, will offer assistance to our engineers in discovering better approaches to upgrade our items to handle a few of the world’s hardest challenges,” says Jaya Jagadish, country head and senior vice president, AMD India.
