Bescom Unveils Revamped App for ease of EV Charging
According to reports, the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (Bescom) has launched a new interface for its ‘EV Mitra’ app, which helps electric vehicle (EV) users charge their vehicles.
The app, available for both Android and iOS devices, is designed to make EV charging easier, accessible, and efficient.
EV Mitra allows users to personalize their experience, provides information on charging station location, availability, and amenities, ensures secure access via OTP or RFID, and allows users to reserve chargers and view reservation history. It also offers multiple payment options.
Bescom asks consumers to uninstall the old EV Mithra app and install the revamped one. Wallet balances from the old app will be reflected in the new app. Once logged in, users can explore various features tailored for individual and fleet users.
Retail users can easily charge to their in-app wallet or make payments through UPI or Bill Desk. If a charge is interrupted due to technical problems, users are guaranteed a refund of the amount paid. Fleet operators can also take advantage of special access codes and offers tailored to their needs.
