Blinkit Revamps 10-Minute Delivery Service, Offers Quick Delivery of Electronic Product
Amid the raging competition in the market, Zomato's quick commerce platform Blinkit has improved its 10-minute delivery game and is now offering quick delivery for electronic products.
CEO Albinder Dhindsa revealed that the company's most recent category of products for prompt delivery are electronics, including laptops, monitors, and printers on social media, adding that metro city dwellers will be able to use the service.
“You can now get laptops, monitors, printers and more delivered in 10 minutes! We're expanding our electronics range to cover more use cases and have partnered up with leading brands in this category,” Dhindsa wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).
He added there will be printers from Canon and HP, laptops delivered from HP, displays from Lenovo, Zebronics, and MSI, and people in Delhi NCR, Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, and Lucknow.
“Most of these will be delivered by our large order fleet. We'll be adding a lot more brands and their products very soon,” he added.
Also, Blinkit’s parent company, Zomato, the food delivery platform entered the fast delivery market early this year.
The launch of its "15 minutes delivery" service, found in the app's Explore area, allows customers to choose from a variety of meal selections for speedy delivery.
Zomato and Blinkit's actions follow rival Swiggy's announcement a month ago that it will be expanding its 10-minute food delivery app, Bolt, to major markets in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities and towns.
CEO Albinder Dhindsa revealed that the company's most recent category of products for prompt delivery are electronics, including laptops, monitors, and printers on social media, adding that metro city dwellers will be able to use the service.
Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune were the six cities where the service was first introduced.
Blinkit released its new meal delivery service, Bistro, last year, just after rival Zepto Cafe's official app launch.
Although Zepto Cafe and Bistro both want to deliver food, drinks, and snacks in ten minutes, Zepto is trying to open actual restaurants, while the former has chosen to use a cloud kitchen.
