In its way of curbing expenses and faling into more financial difficulties, Byju's has closed all of its office locations across the country, while leaving its headquarters at the IBC Knowledge Park in Bangalore.

The edtech firm currently carries about 14,000 employees in India and the current action aligns with its concerning efforts to bring down the costs amid an already existing monetary crisis.

The company was left with no choice but to make drastic changes to take care of the financial issues considering its entanglement into issues with its investors over funds related to a closed rights issue offering.

The latest happening was brought to light after numerous media platforms said that the company will most probably not be able to make to the March 10 deadline due given its its delay in paying over 20,000 workers who were awaiting their February paychecks.

However, the company’s founder and CEO, previously assured employees of timely salary disbursements, stating, “We are striving to ensure that your salaries are paid by March 10.”

The organization demonstrates a forward-thinking attitude by allowing employees to work remotely and placing a high priority on worker well-being in addition to productivity.

Byju is committed to managing financial uncertainty and maintaining operational efficiency from its central center in Bangalore, as seen by the consolidation of office spaces.

Byju's reportedly told all staff members to accept permanent remote employment, with the exception of those employed by around 300 Byju's Tuition Centers. This change is in line with the strategic restructuring plan of Arjun Mohan, CEO of Byju India.

Byju's maximizes operational flexibility while guaranteeing worker safety in the face of changing conditions by enabling remote work. The choice highlights the company's flexibility and dedication to maintaining operations in the face of shifting work paradigms.
