On Tuesday, Cognizant, the technology services provider announced that it is acquiring Microsoft cloud partner company – New Signature. The transaction is predicted to finalize in the third quarter of 2020. Though, financial terms were not disclosed.

Microsoft’s New Signature is a cloud transformation service provider. As per Cognizant, the acquisition increases the company’s hyperscale cloud advisory services alongside helping it to build a dedicated team within Cognizant centered on Microsoft Cloud Solutions. Based on the finalization of the acquisition, more than 500 employees of New Signature who are in the U.S.,

U.K., and Canada is set to join Cognizant’s recently formed ‘Microsoft Business Group’.

The acquisition of New Signature is Cognizant’s fifth cloud-related acquisition in 2020 and cloud has gained the area of focus and is a continuous investment for Cognizant.

New Signature’s business engagements have added a cloud migration for Virgin Atlantic Airways, which is an IoT solution for The Hershey Company among others.
