
Educate Girls Names Gayatri Nair Lobo as CEO

According to reports, Educate Girls, a nonprofit that collaborates with state governments and mobilises village communities for girls' education in India's rural and educationally backward areas, has appointed Gayatri Nair Lobo its new chief executive officer.
An experienced leader with close to 25 years in consulting and the development sector, Gayatri leads the organization as it embarks on its ambitious objective of reaching 10 million learners in a decade.
Gayatri has spearheaded extensive, high-impact projects – ranging from revitalizing 5,000 water bodies throughout India to influencing national discussions on sustainable agriculture and educational reform. She has previously served as the CEO of the A.T.E. Chandra Foundation and the India School Leadership Institute (ISLI), in addition to holding senior leadership roles at Teach For India and Dalberg Advisors.
