Freshworks Names Shelton Rego as its New Vice-President of Sales

Nasdaq-listed Freshworks Inc appoints Shelton Rego as its new Vice-President of Sales India operations with immediate effect. In his new role, Rego would oversee the regional business strategy for India operations, focusing on expanding market share, fostering customer relationships, and identifying new partnership models for growth.

Shelton was the country head of Jio Cloud, the tech division of the global conglomerate Reliance Group, prior to joining the company. Additionally, he had worked for Google Cloud, SAP Concur, and Oracle.

Shelton will collaborate closely with global go-to-market experts and introduce Freshworks' AI-powered workforce and customer experience solutions to Indian enterprises.

"Shelton Rego has the experience and accomplishments to build exceptionally strong market share for SaaS (software-as-a-service) industry giants in India. We believe he can do the same for Freshworks," says Freshworks Chief of Global Field Operations, Abe Smith.

The company has recently launched its new data center, powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), in the UAE
