Google Powers its AI Tools with its Gemini AI Models
In an attempt to take on Microsoft-backed OpenAI, Google announced that some of the artificial intelligence tools it provides to companies will be powered by the company's "Gemini" AI models and offered at a cheaper price plan.
The Alphabet division unveiled "Duet AI in Workspace" in August of last year. For a monthly fee of $30 per user for businesses, the AI helpers could write in Google Docs, draft letters in Gmail, and create unique visuals in Google Slides, among other things.

For $20 a month per user for individuals and $25 a month for companies, OpenAI offers a suite of products that includes the AI model GPT-4 and the image generation tool DALL·E.
Companies are rushing to launch generative AI-based services as this technology is thought to be a game-changer, drawing billions of dollars in investments and consumer interest due to its capacity to automate processes and generate replies that are like those of a human.
Microsoft got an early advantage by quickly integrating genAI capabilities into a variety of its products, including cloud and workplace productivity applications, thanks to its investment in ChatGPT creator OpenAI.
