According to reports, IT services company HCLTech has integrated generative AI capabilities into its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) solution called iMRO/4. This is expected to improve the efficiency and productivity of valuable assets in the transportation, aerospace, defense, technology, and energy sectors.

The iMRO/4 solution provides enterprises with a suite of advanced, integrated MRO capabilities. It helps companies improve processes across the entire service lifecycle, including design, operations, planning, supply chain, customer experience, and support.

In the first phase, HCLTech will launch a generative AI bot for iMRO/4 to streamline and simplify maintenance instructions for users and reduce complex asset maintenance processes in SAP S/4HANA. Next, GenAI-enabled iMRO/4 supports natural language inspection and repair reporting based on real-time data from SAP S/4HANA.


“With GenAI enhancements embedded within existing processes, HCLTech iMRO/4 will go even further to help our clients in asset-intensive industries achieve greater efficiency, enhance asset utilization and reduce cost,” said Sadagopan Singam, Executive Vice President, Digital Business, HCLTech.

HCLTech's fourth-quarter revenue was Rs.28, 499 crores, up 0.2 percent QoQ and 7.1 percent YoY. For the full fiscal, the company's revenue grew 8.3 percent to Rs 109,913 crore. Additionally, HCLTech's software arm, HCLSoftware, announced that it has been selected by the State Bank of India (SBI) as its MarTech solution as part of the SBI Digital Transformation Program
