Infosys Expands Partnership with Microsoft to Drive Global Customer Adoption of Generative AI

IT giant Infosys announces expansion of its partnership with Microsoft to help drive global customer adoption of generative AI and Microsoft's cloud platform Azure. Additionally, Infosys will also act as a strategic supplier to support cloud and AI workloads for Microsoft's enterprise customers, as per reports.

Incorporating Microsoft's generative AI product suite into the Microsoft Solutions IP portfolio will bring unique capabilities to market and help customers achieve cost efficiency, scalability, and agility.

Nicole Dezen, Chief Partner Officer, Microsoft says, “Our expanded collaboration with Infosys will transform industries, enhance business operations, elevate employee experiences, and deliver new value for customers. Together, we will harness the power of generative AI to deliver innovative solutions, drive AI adoption and enable unprecedented innovation for customers.”

The collaboration aims to deliver innovative solutions that improve the customer experience and accelerate enterprise AI adoption. This includes integrating Microsoft's generative AI with Infosys' existing solutions such as Infosys Topaz, Cobalt, and Aster.

The collaboration between Infosys and Microsoft Generative AI began when Infosys became an early adopter of GitHub Copilot, resulting in significant efficiencies in code modernization and completion

Anand Swaminathan, EVP and Global Industry Leader-- Communications, Media and Technology, Infosys says, “The collaboration addresses various business problems through a customer-centric approach, providing scalability, agility, and cost-efficiency across key sectors like finance, healthcare, supply chain, and telecommunications.”

The collaboration between Infosys and Microsoft Generative AI began when Infosys became an early adopter of GitHub Copilot, resulting in significant efficiencies in code modernization and completion.

Infosys' GitHub Copilot is the Customer Zero leader, with over 18,000 developers currently generating and using over 7 million lines of code from Copilot. Coupled with its recently launched industry-first GitHub Center of Excellence (CoE), Infosys is uniquely positioned to deliver enterprise AI innovation to customers worldwide.
