JSW MG Motors is working towards lifting up users' concerns on range anxiety by launching a platform that locates electric vehicle charging stations across the nation.

For this very reason, the company made public of its plans to collaborate with charging service providers such as Adani Total Energies, BPCL, and Chargezone.

“This is the first time an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) has integrated all charging operators in one single app. Eighty per cent of this country’s chargers are on our app now. Through this app, you can not only see the location, but also check the availability of chargers and their rate/tariff,” said Rajeev Chaba, CEO Emeritus, JSW MG Motor India.

JSW MG Motor already holds a track record of working with charging providers such as Adani Total Energies Limited (ATEL), BPCL, Chargezone, Glida, HPCL, Jio-BP, Shell, Statiq, and Zeon for the eHUB application.

Now, the company looks to accommodate more users than before and is planning to make the application speak in 11 languages.

It plans to include other features for organizing trips and be available to owners of all brands of EVs, as well.

“With initiatives such as our unified charging platform, battery second-life project, EV education and the MG-Jio ICP, we are empowering the industry as well as our customers with smarter, more sustainable choices,” said Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer at JSW MG Motor India.

On the other hand, the automaker unveiled plans that the MG-Jio innovative connectivity platform (MG-Jio ICP) will be available on all of its next models, including the "Windsor" EV. For this platform, it promises to have language capabilities in six Indian languages, the MG App Store for in-car entertainment and gaming, and Home-to-Car technology.

Eventually it looks forward to constructing 1,000 community charging points around India and provides six-way charging options.

For this very reason, the company made public of its plans to collaborate with charging service providers such as Adani Total Energies, BPCL, and Chargezone.

JSW MG Motor is advancing knowledge on EV and skill development, by working with more than 50 institutions and over 1,500 start-ups through strategic alliances and programs like MGDP and MG Nurture.

Regarding EV sales, Chaba emphasized that the company's market share in the EV industry was 17 percent last year and increased by 150 percent. It would increase by over 250 percent this year.

“Our EV sales are growing because they are compelling and trustworthy. We have 40 percent of our total sales coming from EVs right now and it is only growing,” Chaba added.

FADA reports that JSW MG Motor sold 1,522 EVs in July, a 23 percent year-over-year increase over the 1,237 units sold in the same month the previous year.
