A significant percentage of iPhone and Android users in the country said they have experienced call connection issues after the latest software upgrade, according to the online platform LocalCircles.

According to the survey, 60 percent of iPhone users and 40 percent of Android users in the country have shared that they are experiencing problems in their services after the latest software upgrade.

The main difficulty for Android users is app stalling, whereas the biggest problem for iPhone users is call failure, whether a regular or an app-based call.

According to reports, 6 in 10 Apple iPhone users surveyed who have upgraded to iOS 18 or higher are having difficulties. 28 percent of the respondents stated that most or some voice and OTT calls don't connect or drop. 12 percent stated the phone's screen goes dark, and 12 percent stated apps are hanging.

According to reports, which were carried out in 322 Indian districts between November 12 and December 26, more than 47,000 responses were obtained (31,000 from Apple iPhone users and about 16,000 from Android device users).

According to the survey, nearly 90 percent of Apple iPhone owners who have updated to iOS 18 and are experiencing issues blame the iOS update, with none blaming their problems on their WiFi or mobile network. Apple has been issuing updates to its latest operating system iOS 18.

In October, the company issued an iOS 18.0.1 update to fix screen and camera freezing issues in select models of iPhone 16.

The survey further noted that 4 in 10 Android users who have upgraded to Android 15 are having difficulties

The update mentioned fixing issues related to memory allocation on some iPhone models. The company's latest update 18.2.1 provides important bug fixes.

The survey further noted that 4 in 10 Android users who have upgraded to Android 15 are having difficulties.

Thirty-three percent of Android users cited app hanging as their biggest issue, twelve percent reported other problems, forty-four percent reported no problems since upgrading to Android 15 or later, and eleven percent did not provide a clear response out of the 15,731 responses that were received.
