OYO Adopts Hybrid Workplace Model Amidst Pandemic

The novel coronavirus has changed working patterns in businesses. The hospitality major OYO Hotels & Homes on Tuesday said that it moved to a ‘hybrid workplace model’ permanently.
In a statement released by the company says that while a significant majority continues to work from home, several teams have opted to ‘work from
anywhere’ and others have selected for flexible co-working centers offered by the OYO Workspace, the company’s co-working arm.
This hybrid model will ensure that to give options to the workforce when the state come out of lockdown and maintain social distancing norms, and provide flexibility in the working hours which in return has resulted in a noticeable improvement in the overall productivity, it said.
Dinesh Ramamurthi, Chief Human Resources Officer, OYO Hotels & Homes commented on this. He said, “With the changes in the working environment, the current situation is a testament that employee efficiency is greater than actual physical presence. Here at OYO, we are committed to maintain employee safety, wellbeing and also have adopted a hybrid workplace model to keep in mind the evolving needs of the current and future workforce.”
He also said that while the field staff is already stepping out and attending office, the staff is following all the health and safety protocols. The corporate employees and capability functions are also fully operational and they are opting to combine the option of work from home and work from flexible co-working spaces and get a result.
