PM Narendra Modi Highlights the Role of Youth in the Nation's Progress
According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the vital role that young people play in the country's advancement and urged the adoption of a forward-thinking strategy to train them in cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Speaking at a Veer Bal Diwas event, Modi emphasized the government's "youth-centric" initiatives and the necessity of adjusting to swift changes and difficulties in a variety of fields.
“This era has moved beyond machines to machine learning. AI is taking center stage, and its application is replacing conventional software. It is essential to prepare our youth to tackle these challenges," says PM.
Stating that the government is dedicated to helping young people develop their skills and confidence. On the occasion, Modi remembered the "unparalleled" sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh's sons, the Sahibzadas, who chose "unwavering courage and faith over submission to the Mughal Empire's oppression".
"More than 300 years ago, on December 26, the Sahibzadas, despite their tender age, displayed unparalleled bravery and sacrificed their lives. They rejected every temptation and endured unimaginable torture, showing that for them, the nation's cause was supreme,” says PM.
Veer Bal Diwas teaches an enduring lesson: No matter how adverse the circumstances, nothing is greater than the nation's cause. Every act done in the interest of the nation is an act of valor.
The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar winners also spoke with the prime minister. For their outstanding accomplishments in areas such as art and culture, bravery, creativity, science and technology, social service, sports, and the environment, 17 youngsters from 14 states and Union Territories received recognition.
He elaborated on the government's focus on empowering the youth through targeted policies.
