PwC India, Meta Team Up to Grow Open-Source Artificial Intelligence Solutions

Renowned IT services and consulting company, PwC India has teamed up with Meta to promote growth of its open-source artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to companies and public services using the latter's Llama models.

The objective of this partnership will be towards ensuring that the Llama open-source platform will be adopted by more industries, while enabling PwC to create cutting-edge, globally distributed Generative AI (GenAI) solutions.

In the efforts of developing and implementing enterprise-grade and citizen-service GenAI solutions in tandem, PwC India and Meta are expected to work towards the democratization of AI and increase its accessibility for enterprises.

Additionally, there is also a goal of establishing an ecosystem of GenAI solutions using PwC India's domain knowledge, Meta's technical know-how, and the potent Llama open-source platform.

Vice President and Head of Meta India Sandhya Devanathan shared that GenAI technologies, like Llama, have the potential to completely revolutionize Indian enterprises and boost the nation's digital transition.

Vivek Belgavi, Partner & Leader — Alliances & Ecosystems, PwC India stated that the agreement marks an essential step towards providing customers with new methods to harness GenAI while opening new opportunities for efficiency and creativity.

The objective of this partnership will be towards ensuring that the Llama open-source platform will be adopted by more industries, while enabling PwC to create cutting-edge, globally distributed Generative AI (GenAI) solutions.

According to Vivek, this partnership also expands on the work PwC India has been doing for the GenAI Lab, which is tasked with providing PwC customers and staff with innovative GenAI-powered ideas and solutions.

Additionally, PwC India and Meta will work together to provide their customers with advanced-GenAI capabilities. By combining their technological expertise with consulting advice, the firms will become more relevant in the market to businesses and organizations looking for robust, safe, and endpoint-ready Generative AI solutions.

To remain ahead of the competition in the market, PwC has continually made investments in cutting-edge AI technologies. Previously, AWS, Anthropic, Google, Shorthills AI, Microsoft, and OpenAI were among the foundation model suppliers with which PwC had partnered.

PwC India opened its GenAI Experience Lab in Gurugram in August with the goal of investigating the revolutionary potential of generative AI. In order to combat cyber risks within organizations, the company also partnered with Microsoft India to strengthen its incident response and recovery capabilities.
