Qualcomm Technologies and MapmyIndia announced a technological partnership aimed at bolstering the automotive industry's 'Make in India' initiative.

By combining MapmyIndia's experience with Qualcomm Technologies' Snapdragon Digital Chassis technologies, the two will provide automobile connectivity solutions and connected services for both local and international manufacturers in the four-wheeler (4W) and two-wheeler (2W) segments.

According to the release, MapmyIndia solutions would allow OEMs to prioritize mass market convenience and safety while providing mid-tier and low-tier vehicles with high-quality yet reasonably priced connectivity.

To develop a software-defined vehicle framework, driving device, and cloud services for two- and four-wheelers, as well as commercial vehicles that use Snapdragon Digital Chassis solutions, MapmyIndia will combine its MAPPLS automotive services with Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud Services.

Savi Soin, Senior Vice President and President of Qualcomm India, spoke along similar lines, highlighting the importance of the partnership and stating that it brings together the knowledge of both companies to provide top-notch automotive solutions that boost innovation, cut costs, and increase value for automakers in India and abroad.

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. revealed a cutting-edge technology at the Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona that will enable developers to run AI models on their devices.

The Qualcomm AI Hub platform streamlines app development and reduces time-to-market by offering more than 75 optimized AI models designed for the Snapdragon and Qualcomm platforms.

These models are also easily accessible on GitHub and Hugging Face. Developers can easily implement these models on Qualcomm-powered cloud-hosted devices with a few lines of code.
