Startup Genome, the Government of Karnataka to Introduce Late-Stage Scaling Program
Startup Genome and the Government of Karnataka are excited to introduce Hypergrowth Karnataka, a Bangalore-based late-stage scaling program, specifically designed for Series A tech scaleups, or those with over $3 million in ARR and are looking to expand into the US or other international markets.
Led by the team behind Microsoft for Startups (India), Tech Nation (UK), and Excelerate (US), the inaugural Karnataka cohort launches today.
“Hypergrowth Karnataka represents an unparalleled growth pathway for India’s scaleups with global ambitions. By linking India’s innovation potential with a world-class network of mentors and scaling expertise, we’re not only fostering growth but also establishing India’s place as a leader in global tech transformation.” – Ravi Narayan, President of Startup Genome India, who co-founded Microsoft for Startups, led its global expansion, and established T-Hub, the world’s largest innovation campus.
Through global commercialization, executive mentorship this program is tailored to address the unique growth needs of scaleups in Karnataka and is designed to transform them into global category leaders. The program has the support of over 25 venture capitalists. This first cohort of the program is focused on Enterprise SaaS and Fintech scaleups, at series A with an average fundraise of $6 Million and revenues averaging $2 Million.
“While the ecosystem is thriving with scaleups, we see immense potential to elevate more of them to become global category leaders,” said Dr. Ekroop Caur, I.A.S, Secretary to Government, Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka. “Hypergrowth Karnataka represents a crucial step in that direction, and we are thrilled to have Startup Genome’s expertise in guiding this initiative. Together, we are shaping a new generation of Indian scaleups that can make a global impact and drive the future of tech innovation.
By linking India’s innovation potential with a world-class network of mentors and scaling expertise, we’re not only fostering growth but also establishing India’s place as a leader in global tech transformation.” – Ravi Narayan, President of Startup Genome India.
Hypergrowth addresses a significant support gap for fast-growing scaleups, as most efforts traditionally concentrate on early-stage startups. As the primary challenge for scaleups is their limited access to executives with scaling and global commercialization expertise, Hypergrowth will provide local companies access to global mentors, expert scaling advice from leading executives, and go to market support and connections to potential new customers and investors as they significantly increase their international expansion capabilities.
The program will officially launch today with a dedicated panel and press conference at the
Bangalore Tech Summit from 3:00 to 4:00 PM IST.
