Tata Elxsi Signs $ 56.55 Million Agreement with European-Based Automotive OEM

Tata Elxsi, a worldwide leader in design and technology services, revealed a strategic multi-year agreement worth €50 million with a prominent European-based automotive OEM.

This strategic agreement establishes Tata Elxsi as an essential engineering collaborator for platform and application development in SDV, electrification, body, and chassis.

In this collaboration, Tata Elxsi will set up a specialized Global Engineering Centre to assist the customer's software platform roadmap and brand-aligned software engineering initiatives. This center will function as a focal point for creating a cohesive technology framework that includes a proprietary operating system, electronic architecture, and automotive cloud.

These will drive sophisticated in-vehicle features, effortless connectivity, and software updates across various brands and product lines.

Tata Elxsi was selected for its extensive domain knowledge in various automotive areas such as electrification, body & chassis, infotainment, and cybersecurity, supported by a successful history in automotive software and overseeing high-performance global delivery centers for major OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.

The firm's capacity to synchronize engineering initiatives with clients' product and software strategies guarantees worldwide delivery quality, scalability, and results throughout the product development lifecycle.

Tata Elxsi has recently introduced AVENIR™, a cloud-agnostic framework for the development and validation of SDVs that aims to facilitate modular software engineering, enhance platform integration, and support both cloud-native development and edge deployment. This is additionally enhanced by its range of solutions including the AUTONOMAI ADAS suite, TETHER Connected Vehicle platform, MOBIUS+ digital product passport, and advanced laboratories and Mobility Innovation Centres in the Connected, Autonomous, Software Defined, and Electric sectors.

These investments demonstrate Tata Elxsi’s dedication to platform-first engineering and provide customers with the necessary tools and infrastructure to expand SDV initiatives and maintain software uniformity across vehicle platforms.
