Cognizant, one of the world's leading professional services firms, became the runner up in the 2021 rankings of 'Top Companies' in India according to LinkedIn, while Accenture took the third spot.

The Top Companies, according to LinkedIn, are investing in employee success, career development, equity and inclusion to ensure that they remain among the best workplaces for employee growth now and in the post-pandemic world.

Earlier this month, Cognizant reported that it will cover the vaccination costs of over 600,000 citizens in India, including its more than 200,000 full-time workers and their dependents, as well as approximately 50,000 contingent employees, such as contract, service, and security personnel, and their families.

The World's Best Employers were chosen by Forbes based on independent surveys of more than 150,000 workers in more than 50 countries.

Employers were rated on image, confidence, gender equality, corporate social responsibility, community, benefits, economic footprint, and talent growth. They were also asked to rate how satisfied they were with their employers' answers to the Covid-19 responses. Respondents to the Best Employers for Diversity award were asked to anonymously score their companies on general diversity as well as unique topics like age, gender, sexual orientation equality, ethnicity and disability.
