VeeamON Tour India: Veeam Inaugurates 'Bharat Cyber Suraksha Campaign'

Veeam®, global market leader in data resilience, commenced VeeamON Tour India in Bangalore, inaugurating ‘Bharat Cyber Suraksha Campaign - Enabling a Resilient Bharat’.

In light of the looming threats of ransomware to organizations, the event featured exclusive content from partners like Microsoft, ExaGrid, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Lenovo and Red Hat, offering valuable resources and strategies to combat this ongoing threat.

As India continues to emerge as a technological hub, our goal is to raise awareness about the critical importance of data resilience in an evolving threat landscape”, said Sandeep Bhambure, Vice President & Managing Director, Veeam Software for India & SAARC.

“This year’s VeeamON Tour India offers a glimpse into the cutting-edge innovations in the technological ecosystem, featuring keynotes, skill-building sessions, scholarship announcements, and extensive networking opportunities with over 30 speakers, including those from Microsoft, HPE, Red Hat, Lenovo, DataCore, Policy Bazaar, RV College of Engineering, Welingkar and Women in Cloud Brand Ambassadors”, added Sandeep.

By bringing together prominent industry leaders, organizations and innovators, the event ignited an insightful experience through thought leadership panels, forward-thinking planning sessions, and collaborative initiatives focusing on Data Resilience in a Digital Bharat to over 400 participants.

Sandeep highlighted, “Through this year’s VeeamON Tour India and Cyber Suraksha Campaign, we aim to share our vision for the future of data resilience in a Digital Bharat and educate our community on combating security threats”.

On a mission to shape the future of data resilience in India, the event set to visit the next major cities - Delhi on August 28 and Mumbai on September 19, following Bangalore.

It carried discussions about Data Resilience, Copilot & AI, Data Protection & M365 Backup, Veeam Data Cloud (VDC), Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and Collaboration & Partnerships. These discussions were incorporated into solution-oriented roundtable conferences with the goal of empowering professionals to defend businesses against ransomware and promoting a thorough comprehension of industry trends that outline the future of cybersecurity.

VeeamON Tour India is specifically tailored to backup and recovery professionals, aiming to enhance their skills, provide insights on safeguarding businesses and facilitate exchange of industry knowledge.

Additionally, Veeam unveiled its first-ever ransomware whitepaper for the Indian market, titled "Comprehensive Ransomware Mitigation Strategies for India”, as a part of the Bangalore leg of VeeamON Tour India.

Sandeep highlighted, “Through this year’s VeeamON Tour India and Cyber Suraksha Campaign, we aim to share our vision for the future of data resilience in a Digital Bharat and educate our community on combating security threats”.

Furthermore, Veeam India launched the #WICxSkillsReady Challenge at the event in association with Microsoft and Women in Cloud. This program aims to upskill over 1,000 professionals in AI and cybersecurity, preparing them for careers in DevSecOps.
