Xoriant Appoints LTIMindtree's Mukund Rao to Lead Global Markets

Chyrscapital-backed consulting and IT services provider Xoriant has hires former LTIMindtree executive Mukund Rao as president of global markets.

Based in the US, Rao was the Business Director of Vertical Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) at LTIMindtree (with Mindtree before the merger with L&T Infotech) for over four years.

Before LTIMindtree, Rao worked at global rival Cognizant for seven years, leaving in November 2019 as vice president and managing partner.

Rao has over 20 years of experience in the software services industry, the first 10 of which he started with mid-sized IT firm Mphasis.

US-based Xoriant provides services and solutions focused on digital product engineering, cloud infrastructure and operations across sectors such as BFSI, high-tech, healthcare, pharma, manufacturing, retail, telecom and automotive.

In January 2023, Indian private equity player Chryscapital acquired a majority stake in US-based Xoriant for $250 million

In January 2023, Indian private equity player Chryscapital acquired a majority stake in US-based Xoriant for $250 million.

Following the acquisition, Xoriant appointed former HCLTech vice president Sukamal Banerjee as its new CEO in March last year. It has also strengthened its leadership by bringing in Nithin Jaganmohan from Wipro as CFO and former chief digital officer of Tata Technologies, Abhijit Deokule as COO at Xoriant.
