According to reports, food delivery firm Zomato has introduced Restaurant Services Hub, a platform offering services such as staff hiring and regulatory services like Goods and Services Tax (GST) registration and Food Safety and Standards Authority (FSSAI) compliance to restaurant partners through various vendors.

Zomato has piloted the program for the past 6 months and claims that more than 3,200 restaurants have already used these services. Now we are extending these services to all restaurants across India, regardless of our arrangements with food delivery companies.

“The Restaurant Services Hub platform is only a step towards our vision of creating a full-stack solution for any restaurant owner looking to set up shop or scale their existing business. By strengthening partnerships and facilitating collaboration within the industry, we are focused on building a more resilient and inclusive ecosystem in the country," says Rakesh Ranjan, CEO, Food Delivery, Zomato.

Currently, the Restaurant Services Hub provides hiring services that allow restaurants to obtain candidate profiles from listed vendors and outsource the hiring process. We also provide regulatory services such as FSSAI, GST and trademark registration.

We believe that we can continue to grow faster than the overall restaurant industry and therefore power a significant part of the growth of the restaurant industry if we continue to innovate using our customer-first principles while creating value for all our other stakeholders – our restaurant partners, and our delivery partners

In addition, Zomato plans to launch multiple services such as pos (pos) integration and hygiene audits to help restaurant partners plan, launch, operate, and expand their businesses.

The move comes as rival Swiggy launches a new app on its partner app to connect restaurants with staffing professionals as part of a new recruitment assistance initiative.

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal says, “We believe that we can continue to grow faster than the overall restaurant industry and therefore power a significant part of the growth of the restaurant industry if we continue to innovate using our customer-first principles while creating value for all our other stakeholders – our restaurant partners, and our delivery partners.”
