Accordingly, building on last year’s momentum, Lenovo announced sustainable AI technologies for social impact. There are also fresh updates on last year’s Lenovo AI collaboration with Nvidia, along with its news of becoming the tech partner for the next FIFA World Cup. In the current Tech World 2024, it is worth noting the next phase of AI advancements by Lenovo and how organizations and individuals could benefit from them.

Lenovo AI Now
An innovative AI agent that could turn conventional PCs into customized AI devices. The AI agent uses a local Large Language Model (LLM) based on Meta's Llama 3.1, which allows for real-time interaction with a user's personal knowledge base (PKB) with cloud processing. Since it stores every interaction within the device, it ensures improved data privacy. This new AI agent allows users to automate and streamline tasks such as content creation, device control, online meeting transcription, document management, and more. It boasts a user-friendly AI assistant that allows natural language interaction. This means users can easily search through photos, device documents, and text summaries by entering specific queries.

There is a mix of Lenovo and third-party AI applications that expand the platform’s capacity to facilitate creative endeavors, professional work, and even gaming. This gives capabilities like summarizing documents, composing responses, creating visualizations, and much more for professionals and students.

Lenovo AI Now uses a minimal level of battery energy as it combines CPU (central processing unit), GPU (graphics processing unit), and NPU (neural processing unit) power to use computing architecture and deliver high-speed performance.

It is also eco-friendly as it is created on a Customer Replaceable Unit (CRU) battery. About 75 percent of the device is made up of recycled aluminum for the A and C covers and 55 percent recycled aluminum for the D cover. Its packaging is composed of bamboo and sugarcane and is completely plastic-free.

Lenovo Learning Zone
An AI-driven learning platform with a plethora of resources backing up learning from both inside and outside of the classroom. One can easily mix PCs and smartphones11 to access their notes, tests, and course materials on many platforms. This platform also stands by promoting user privacy and security, while offering educational capabilities. The AI model from the platform uses Lenovo AI Now, which could allow users to locally save and validate, and user control over personal data is preserved.

ThinkSmart Core Gen 2
This is one of the tech giant’s first AI-optimized compute devices designed just for video conferencing that takes meeting efficiency to a new level. These devices are said to use the latest AI-driven capabilities with Microsoft Copilot and Zoom AI Companion, including the existing intelligent audio and video features. With these devices, conference rooms can become smart centers, enabling collaboration and efficient exchanges with improved security during both in-person and virtual sessions. They ensure to secure sensitive data and simultaneously provide seamless experiences through real-time transcription and intelligent video changes, minimizing distractions and increasing team participation.

Lenovo ‘Home AI Brain’
Also developed under the tech giant’s proof of concepts, the platform uses AI to automatically create videos capturing the best moments from memorable occasions, paving a new way for families to share memories. Comprising seamless connectivity and data security, families can edit and share personalized content across PCs, TVs, and tablets. This platform also safeguards personal memories while delivering a rich and immersive experience through simplified media editing and cross-device synchronization.

Lenovo ‘AI Buddy’
Although it is yet to be fully developed, this proof of concept enables personalized communication by imitating sentiment-based user interfaces and adjusts its responses according to their preferences and requests. This digital assistant is best suited for everyday tasks like managing scheduling, reminders, and daily tasks with efficiency. Task management security has been enhanced, which could now ensure confidential data is managed with caution, giving users an intuitive and secure human-like experience.

Super Multi-view 3D Conference Solution
Sporting an immersive 65-inch glasses-free 3D display, this solution is a suitable choice for multi-person, multi-viewpoint engagements. It allows users to experience meetings with a natural sense of depth and interactivity by using real-time 3D video captured from numerous views. This solution discards possible external distractions and increases the sense of in-person communication during remote collaboration.

Smart Connect and Lenovo Tablet
Smart Connect employs the AI capabilities of networked devices in the ecosystem.
