According to a study conducted by P&S Intelligence, the worldwide cybersecurity market is projected to be valued at $433.6 billion by 2030. In addition, the estimated growth in cybercrime expenditures will be a startling $10.5 trillion by 2025. These figures indicate not just how quickly the landscape of cyber security and risk is evolving but also the need to protect individuals and businesses in the ever-growing digital world.

63SATS effortlessly fits into the ecology by providing a comprehensive approach to safe guarding individuals, enterprises, and infrastructures. The firm protects everyone's digital future by innovating to create dependable, cutting-edge security solutions that handle the constantly changing cyber threat scenario.

In a compelling conversation with CIO Insider magazine, Neehar Pathare, MD, CEO, and CIO of 63SATS, shares insights into the company's cuttingedge offerings and reveals his strategic vision for the future. Dive in to discover how 63SATS is redefining cybersecurity for the modern age.

What inspired the creation of 63SATS, and what is the story behind its name?

Jignesh Shah, a tech genius and visionary leader spearheaded the digitization and democratization of the Indian financial markets through his firm, 63 Moons Technologies (formerly Financial Technologies India). Demonstrating his foresight, he established 10 world-class multi-asset exchanges globally in just a decade. Currently, as a coach and mentor to 63 Moons and its subsidiaries, he is focused on rebuilding the financial world. His new model leverages blockchain technology, prioritizes cybersecurity, and centres on AI and machine learning.

Our parent organization, 63 Moons Techno-logies, (a name inspired by the 63 moons that orbit Jupiter) has been a leader in the industry for the last 25 years and served as the impetus for the formation of 63SATS.

The flagship product of 63 Moons ODIN, has over 2 million terminals worldwide. In India, ODIN commands more than 70 percent of the market share, a testament to its reliability and robustness. Over its 25-year journey, ODIN has maintained an impeccable record, with no instances of hacks or piracy. This legacy of unmatched security is the foundation of our cyber-security DNA and continues to drive our commitment to protecting the digital world. 63 Moons' journey progressed with the establishment of key exchanges like Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), Indian Energy Exchange (IEX), Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX), and Singapore Mercantile Exchange (SMX).

These exchanges have successfully thwarted numerous state-sponsored cyberattacks, thanks to our robust security archi-tecture. Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic witnessed a notable rise in cyber scams and attacks, impacting both major infrastructures and individuals through phishing, spamming, and deep fake techniques. This surge underscored the urgent need for accessible and effective cybersecurity solutions.

Consequently, leveraging our years of cybersecurity expertise from 63 Moons, we founded 63SATS to safeguard businesses and critical infrastructures across India. Just as Jupiter's moons safeguard the planet, 63SATS aims to globally protect our customers with innovative cyber-security solutions.

What key cybersecurity issues does 63SATS aim to solve for its clients?

63SATS aims to address several critical cybersecurity challenges for clients across individual users, large enter-prises, SMEs, critical infra- structures, and government organizations.

For individual users, a major concern is the increasing prevalence of phishing, spam, and fraudulent activities, often targeting mobile devices. To combat this, we have developed one of a kind mobile app called CYBX, designed to safeguard phones against phishing attempts, unauthorized sites, applications, and QR codes. CYBX includes a unique dialler that verifies call numbers using KYC processes to authenticate calls and prevent scams.

Our motto, ‘63SATS means Cybersecurity & Cyber security means 63SATS,' encapsulates our dedi-cation to being a complete cybersecurity solution provider for both SMEs & large infrastructures

SMEs face heightened risks from ransomware attacks, which have become more frequent. In India, nearly 5 million SMEs often rely on basic security measures like firewalls and antivirus software. Our Cyber Security Force (CSF) division focuses on enhancing their security posture by implementing robust defences against ransomware and other cyber threats. We tailor comprehen-sive security architectures to meet the specific needs of SMEs, ensuring their protection against evolving cyber threats.

Government organizations and critical infrastructures demand the highest level of cybersecurity due to the potential consequences of successful attacks. Our Cyber Dome division provides military-grade solutions such as secure voice communication, encryption, and one-way data transfer for air-gapped systems. We customize our solutions to meet the unique requirements of various industries, safeguarding state, city, and national-level infrastructures from sophisticated cyberattacks.

In what ways does 63SATS plan to stand out in the competitive cybersecurity market? What is your unique selling proposition?

At 63SATS, our competitive edge in the cybersecurity market stems from a proven track record securing major infrastru-ctures such as the SMX, IEX, and MCX. This success underscores our ability to thwart millions of cyber attacks, ensuring unparalleled security for our clients.

What sets us apart from competitors is our holistic approach to cybersecurity. We take full ownership of our clients' cybersecurity requirements, treating their portfolio as our own rather than merely providing standalone products or services. We integrate existing solutions seamlessly to ensure comprehensive protection that operates in synergy.

Can you provide an example of a signi-ficant cybersecurity investigation where your dark web monitoring and investi-gative skills played a critical role?

Due to confidentiality agreements, I'm unable to disclose specific client names. However, I can highlight a notable achievement: we successfully investigated a cryptocurrency wallet breach amidst a global crypto-jacking incident. Our team traced the movement of stolen crypto currency across multiple wallets and accessed crucial evidence from the hacker's Telegram conversations through our expertise in dark web monitoring and investigation techniques. This evidence was pivotal in our comprehensive report.

Can you elaborate on your partnerships with global technology and cybersecurity firms and how they benefit your clients?

Certainly! Our partnerships with leading global technology and cybersecurity firms, have significantly enhanced our offerings at 63SATS. These collaborations enable us to incorporate state-of-the-art security solutions into our portfolio.

For instance, our collaborations with experts such as Yigal Una, former Director General of the Israel National Cyber Directorate (INCD), and Prof. Dan Blumberg, Chairman, Israel Space Agency, have helped us gain access to advanced technologies such as password-less authentication and deep fake recognition technologies.

By integrating these cutting-edge techno-logies, we deliver cybersecurity solutions that not only offer superior protection but also ensure compatibility and seamless integration across systems. This centralized control, managed by our Security Operations Center (SOC), benefits organizations of all sizes-from small SMEs to large enterprises to individuals.

What are the company’s future plans? Are there any upcoming features or services that your team is currently developing?

We are expanding our cybersecurity portfolio to meet evolving needs and ensure comprehensive protection for all. One of our primary initiatives is the launch of a national helpline dedicated to senior citizens, providing guidance on digital transactions and cybersecurity issues. This helpline will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable populations from cyber fraud and scams, offering support in navigating online processes and filing complaints effectively.
