Tell us about your flagship offerings under Industry 4.0.

CB: Ace Micromatic MIT (AmiT) stands at the forefront of Industry 4.0 with a robust suite of solutions tailored for diverse manufacturing processes, industry sectors, and machine categories. The versatility of these solutions allows for independent or collective deployment, enabling customers to incrementally scale their adoption. These solutions are integrated into the AMG-mIoT platform, catering to the needs of end users, machine manufacturers, and service providers alike.

One of AmiT's flagship offerings is Production & OEE Analytics, which leverages real-time data capture to provide valuable insights into shop floor performance. This includes metrics such as part count, down-time reasons, cycle time, and load/unload time variations, culminating in the measurement of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). This com-prehensive analysis aids in identifying and reducing losses within the system.

The integration of real-time Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Automated Tool Wear Offset Corrections (ATWOC) is another standout feature. By linking metrology equipment with production machines, AmiT minimizes manual errors, identifies dimen-sional deviations, and ensures superior quality. This emphasis on precision contributes to a more efficient and error-resistant manufacturing process.

Energy Monitoring is another key component, offering insights into energy consumption relative to part production. This includes monitoring electrical parameters such as RYB line voltage and power factor. AmiT's Traceability and Genealogy feature facilitates the tracking of raw materials to final products using QR Codes, RFID, or serial numbers. The Digital Factory aspect allows for the transition to a paperless factory environ-ment. Machine mounted displays, tablets, or computers driven by a centralized knowledge repository facilitate this transition, all while maintaining strict access controls to ensure data authenticity and security.

AmiT's focus on Process Parameters involves capturing intrinsic CNC controller data and external sensor data to monitor equipment health and ensure process traceability. This provides manufacturers with valuable insights into process stability and equipment performance.

What is the technology framework built within these products? How do they position the company on a competitive edge in the market?

MK: AmiT's Industry X.0 and IIoT solutions are underpinned by a cutting-edge techno-logy stack, featuring industry-standard protocols like controls native, OPC/UA, MODBUS, PROFINET, and MT Connect for data acquisition. The framework includes industrial-quality HMIs, seamless integration with top production and metrology equipment, edge processing, and utilization of leading-edge Cloud plat-forms.

The incorporation of connectors for enterprise systems such as ERP, MRP, and PLM enhances interoperability. Moreover, AmiT leverages AI and Analytics within its solutions. This robust technology frame-work positions the company competitively in the

What type of customer experience do your services provide, and could you present a case study illustrating the positive outcomes achieved through your Industry 4.0 solutions and the resulting customer satisfaction?

CB: We prioritize in-depth engagements with our customers, ensuring a profound understanding of their challenges to tailor solutions effectively. A notable case involves a Spindle and Tooling manufacturer facing low machine utilization due to frequent set-up changes in response to small batch sizes. The intricacies involved, such as waiting for production schedules, drawings, work instructions, and coordination between departments, led to significant delays, sometimes extending set-up times to 4 to 6 hours. Our Digital Factory solution streamlined operations, saving over an hour per shift for each of the 100+ machines, resulting in direct measurable benefits exceeding Rs.75 lakhs within just 9 months, significantly enhancing productivity.

What skill development initiatives do you provide for young and enthusiastic talents, and how do these initiatives prove beneficial for them?

MK: AmiT engages proactively in industry, academia, and media forums to disseminate knowledge on best practices and emerging trends, ensuring the sustainable adoption and return on investment (ROI) of Industry X.0 initiatives.
