Warehouse technology solutions are transforming logistics, focusing on automation, precision, and realtime visibility to optimize efficiency. Emerging trends like RFID, barcode technology, and IoT-driven sensors ensure seamless inventory tracking and enhanced operational accuracy. Trace and Track Solutions stands out as a trusted expert, offering end-to-end services from consultancy to implementation. Their holistic approach integrates advanced systems that capture and monitor goods' movement, ensuring superior accuracy and streamlined warehouse operations.

In an exclusive interview with CIO Insider, Rupanand Pradhan, Founder, Trace and Track Solutions unravels the inception story, its various offerings and its USPs, many other aspects.

Tell us about the inception story of Trace and Track Solutions. Describe its brand persona and what it represents.

Trace and Track Solutions was founded by me after gaining 14 years of industry experience. Having worked with two organizations in roles that placed me at the forefront of operations, it was through this hands-on exposure that helped in identifying a significant gap in the market. Automation, though widely discussed, is a vast concept with diverse applications. However, most solutions were limited to specific hardware or software, failing to address the broader, multifaceted demands of various departments and industries.

This realization became the driving force behind the inception of Trace and Track Solutions. Our goal was to provide versatile, comprehensive automation solutions that cater to a wide range of industries and requirements, going beyond the constraints that were observed in the previous roles.

Give a brief account about your

flagship offerings. What are the value additions the clients can expect from your offerings?

Trace and Track Solutions specializes in automation solutions tailored to the manufacturing industry. The name is inspired by 'track and trace', a concept focused on recording critical production parameters like date, time, shift, operator, batch details, and raw material sources. This ensures traceability, quality control, and accountability throughout production.

Automated data entry leads to process efficiency and accuracy while relying on data entries into computers by operators related to production or inventory manually is the source of pilferages & error

Trace and Track Solutions’ innovative offerings enhance this process with wireless data capture systems. Using RFID, sensors, or barcode scanning, data from items moving through assembly lines or warehouses is transmitted wirelessly to a central server in real time. This boosts visibility, efficiency, and seamless data integration across operations.

Tell us about a recent challenging case study reflecting the success of the company’s offerings that were deployed to draw positive outcomes.

Here’s a recent success story highlighting our impact. While Track and Trace specializes in track and-trace solutions, a major offering is Warehouse Management System, designed for running warehouses lacking organized racking systems. One client struggled for 25+ years to track their inventory in a 20,000 sq. m. facility where finished goods were manually stacked in three layers, making items indistinguishable. We implemented an RFID-based solution with sensors and overhead RFID readers, integrated with their system. This allowed real-time tracking of inventory, providing 24/7 data access via mobile devices or screens. Our solution eliminated the need for costly external audits and manual inventory checks, ensuring accurate, real-time inventory management at all times.

Briefly tell us about the workforce of the company responsible for its success.

Our success is driven by a highly skilled and experienced workforce, operating in the niche field of Automatic Identification and Data Capturing (AIDC). With over 20 years of market presence, our team is composed exclusively of professionals with a minimum of eight years of hands-on expertise in their respective domains.

Our software developers excel in their craft, ensuring robust and efficient solutions. The project management team brings extensive experience in coordinating and executing complex implementations. Meanwhile, our after-sales support team provides seamless post-deployment assistance, ensuring client satisfaction. The sales and business development team, led by myself with two decades of industry knowledge, plays a pivotal role in driving growth and fostering client relationships. This collective expertise allows us to deliver innovative, reliable, and client-centric solutions across every aspect of our operations.

What is the role Trace and Track Solutions has envisioned to take in the near future? What is the level of impact it strives to bring to the market?

Going forward, our vision is to expand our offerings by integrating AI-based camera solutions into our portfolio. These advanced systems are designed to enhance automation by identifying objects, humans, vehicles, or inventory in real-time. For example, cameras in factories can monitor vehicle entry by recognizing license plates, classify vehicle types, and manage tow truck and pedestrian crossings for safety. Additionally, in manufacturing, our AI powered systems, such as 'Work-in-Progress', enable precise tracking and error-proofing (Poka-Yoke) on assembly lines.

Unlike traditional ERP systems that rely on manual data entry, our solutions automatically capture accurate, real-time data at the point of activity, reducing errors and improving analysis. This mobile, automated approach ensures fast and reliable data integration into ERP systems. Moreover, we pride ourselves on delivering tailored solutions. Unlike standard product-based companies, we customize our offerings to address specific client pain points, ensuring usability and effectiveness. This client-centric approach drives our commitment to innovation and impact in the industry.
